FIDE Master Niranjan Navalgund of Belagavi scored 8.5 points out of 10 round games tided for second and bagged the third prize on tie breaks in the 3rd Edition of Bangalore Open 2019 International FIDE rating event. This edition tournament was crowd funded by 53 parents of chess players from Bangalore.
International Master of Karnataka Master. Girish Koushik bagged first prize scored 9.5 points and International Master Chakravarthy Reddy scored 8.5 points and bagged 2nd prize. The event attracted entries of 390 players from various states, which was held at Sicilicon City School from April 17 th th 21st April, 2019.
