Karwar & Sirsi education districts has secured four ranks in SSLC

Karwar: Uttara Kannada district which includes Karwar and Sirsi education districts has secured four ranks in SSLC examination this year.  Naganjali P. Naik of Kumta has secured first rank for the state in SSLC examination. Avani Hegde of SVEM High School Siddapur Prajakta Shenvi of St. Michael School Karwar and Sneha Kale of Balmandir school in Karwar ar among the top 10 scorers in the state.
Naganjali, daughter of Parameshwar Naik and Chetana Naik has secured 625 out of 625 in the examination shared the first rank with another girl from Bengaluru. She is from the rural background and resident of Hubbanageri in Baad village in Kumta. Parameshwar Naik had served in BSF and after retirement he returned to Baad and owns a tempo which he runs between Kumta and Baad.
Another student Avani Shashibhushan Hegde, grand daughter of former Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde has secured third rank to the state. She has scored has secured 623 out of 625. Avani is the student of SVEM High School in Siddapur in Uttara Kannada district.
Prajakta Shenvi, Student of St. Michel Convent school has secured has scored 622 out of 625 marks. Daughter of Nikhil and Sanyukta Shenvi Prajakta said that she would opt for commerce in PUC and do CA or IIM course in future. Her Mother Samyukta said that Prajakta used to study for 8-10 hours every day and taking coaching to prepare for the examination. Her teachers played great role in preparing for the examination and as a result she secured fourth rank she said.
Sneha Appusaheb Kale, a student from Karwar has secured fifth rank by scoring 620 marks Sneha is the student of Balmandir School in Karwar. She is the daughter of Appusaheb Kale who is a BSNL employee. Sneha said she is an IAS aspirant and would do her effort in that direction.
This time Uttara Kannada district is in fourth position in the state with 88.12% pass percentage. Last year it was in the second position in the state with same passing percentage. Sirsi education district which is also the part of the Uttara Kannada district has improved its position. It is 12th position this time. Last year it was in 21st position.
