ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: “ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಂಗಪುರ ದೇಶವು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಉತ್ಸುಕವಾಗಿದೆ. ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಿಂಗಾಪುರ ವಿದೇಶಾಂಗ ಸಚಿವರು ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು” ಎಂದು ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಿಂಗಾಪುರ ವಿದೇಶಾಂಗ, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆ ಸಚಿವೆ ಗಾನ್ ಶಿಯೋ ಹುಯಂಗ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಸಿಂಗಾಪುರ ಸರಕಾರದ ನಿಯೋಗದ ಜೊತೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಬುಧವಾರ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
“ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಸಿಂಗಾಪುರದ ಕೌನ್ಸಲೇಟ್ ಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಗುರುವಾರ ಅವರು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಚೇರಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಒಪ್ಪಿದರೆ ಒಂದು ಬಹುಮಹಡಿ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳು ಒಂದೇ ಕಡೆ ಇರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಈ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ದೇಶದವರ ಜೊತೆಗೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೆ. ಭದ್ರತಾ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕೆಲವರು ಒಪ್ಪಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಹಲವು ದೇಶದ ಜನ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಡವಾಳ ಹೂಡಿಕೆಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
Singapore keen to invest in Karnataka: DCM DK Shivakumar
Bengaluru, Nov 12: Stating that he had a fruitful discussion with the Foreign and Trade Minister of Singapore on setting up an industrial park, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today said Singapore was keen to invest in Karnataka.
Speaking to reporters after holding a meeting with the Singapore delegation headed by Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry, the DCM said, “Last year Singapore Consulate had visited us and they are starting an office in Bengaluru. I have proposed a multi-story building to house all their offices in Bengaluru.
“I have made the same proposal for other countries too but they had not agreed for security reasons. Singapore is keen to invest in Karnataka,” he added.
