“GIT football team won the VTU Inter Zone Football Championship 2019-20 held recently at Siddhaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkuru.
GIT beat RNSIT, Bengaluru (4-0 goals), Bengaluru Institute of Technology, Bengaluru (4-2 goals) and Acharya I T, Bengaluru (2-0 goals) to reach finals. GIT defeated St. Joseph Eng. College, Mangaluru by 5-4 goals in the finals. GIT winning this state level VTU football championship 3rd time in last 4 years.
Uday Kaldundrikar, Chairman, Governing Council, GIT, Dr. A.S. Deshpande, Principal, Prof. R. Shreedhar, Chairman, Gymkhana, P.V. Kadagadkai, Physical Education Director, Kranti Kurankar, Physical Education Instructor, Y T Kamble and Gajanan Dharmoji congratulated the prize winners”.
