*ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಅವಿಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ: ಡಾ.ಎಂ.ಆರ್. ಜಯರಾಮ್ ಅಭಿಮತ*
ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ: ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಬದಲಿಸುವ ಒಂದು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಯಾನ ರೋಮಾಂಚನಕಾರಿ. ಒಂದು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣೀಕ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಭಿತ್ತಿ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆದವರು ಅವರು. ಅವರ ದೂರದೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಫಲವಾಗಿಯೇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಇಂದು ಅಗಾಧವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿದೆ. ಅದರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಡಾ.ಕೋರೆಯವರ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಶ್ಲಾಘೀಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅನ್ವಯಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಡಾ. ಎಂ. ಆರ್. ಜಯರಾಮ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಜೆಎನ್ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಎಸ್.ಜೀರಗೆ ಸಭಾಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ 110 ನೇ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪನಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ‘ಸಮಾಜದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವ ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಪ್ತರ್ಷಿಗಳು ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು.
ಅವರ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಹಾಗೂ ದೂರದೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಫಲವಾಗಿಯೇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಬೆಳೆದುನಿಂತಿದೆ. ಅಖಂಡವಾಗಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ಈ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ.ಕೋರೆಯವರ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಬಹಳ ದೊಡ್ಡದು. ಜನರು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ನಾಯಕತ್ವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮತ್ತ ನೋಡುವರು. ನಾನೂ ಕೂಡ ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ನಾಯಕತ್ವವನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದಲೇ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಿರಿ, ಸರ್ಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿ, ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಈಗ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಹಿಂದಿನ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಿ. ಇದೆಲ್ಲದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದುದು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದುದುನ್ನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವುದು. ಸಪ್ತರ್ಷಿಗಳು ಉದಾತ್ತವಾದುದುನ್ನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿದರು ಅಮರವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು ಎಂದು ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಅನ್ನು “ದೃಷ್ಟಿ, ಬದ್ಧತೆ ಮತ್ತು ತ್ಯಾಗದಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾದ ಪರಂಪರೆ” ಎಂದು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯ ಹೊಸ ಯುಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ದಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಡಾ. ಕೋರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪಾಲುದಾರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಡಾ. ಜಯರಾಮ್ ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಈ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಲು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ, ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗಣಿತಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸುವ STEM ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಅವರು ಕೆಎಲ್ಇಗೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಆಶೀರ್ವಚನ ನೀಡಿದ ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್‌ನ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಬೋಧಮಯಾನಂದ ಮಹಾರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಸಪ್ತರ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಸಮಗ್ರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ, ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದುದನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂಬ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವನ್ನು ಸಬಲಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಜ್ಞಾನ ದಾಹವನ್ನು ನೀಗಿಸಿ ಈ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ಷರಕ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಏಳು ಜನ ಸಪ್ತರ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮನಸಾರೆ ಸ್ಮರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
ಒಮ್ಮೆ ನಾವು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಹಿಂದಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮ, ಅರ್ಥ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂದಿನ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ತೀವ್ರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಒತ್ತಡ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಅತಿಯಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವದಿಂದ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಸಹಜ ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆ ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಅಭಿಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೇಮದ ಭ್ರಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನೋವಿನ ವಿಷಯ. ಒಂದು ಕಡೆ ನಾವು ಭಾರತದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಬಾಹ್ಯಾಕಾಶದತ್ತ ಏರುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕಡೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಕುಸಿತದಿಂದ ಸಮಾಜ ನೋವಿನ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದು ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಸಮಯ. ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ಸ್ವಾಮೀ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಲು ಕರೆನೀಡಿದರು. ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂತರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಹ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಯಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಶುದ್ಧತೆಯ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಚಿಂತನೆಗೈದರು.
ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಕೋರೆ ಅವರು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಅನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ದಾರ್ಶನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಪಿತಾಮಹರಾದ ಸಪ್ತಋಷಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಿಗೆ, ದಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು ಕಡಿಮೆಯೇ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಕೆಎಲ್ಇಯ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ತಳಹದಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದೆ.
ಭಾಷಾತೀತವಾಗಿ-ಧರ್ಮಾತೀತವಾಗಿ-ಜಾತ್ಯಾತೀತವಾಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಬೆಳೆದಿದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಎಲ್ಲ ಬೇಕುಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿದೆ. ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ-ಆರೋಗ್ಯ- ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ವಿತೀಯವಾದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆ. 2025 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಕೃಷಿ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದದ್ದು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸಾಧನೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಎತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಎಲ್ಇಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಡಾ. ಕೋರೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು, ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ವೈದ್ಯರು ಜಾಗತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಬರುವ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 1000 ಹಾಸಿಗೆಗಳ ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜ ನೂತನ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. , ಇದು ಕೆಎಲ್ಇಯ ಒಟ್ಟು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು 4500 ಹಾಸಿಗೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಜನರ ಮನೆ ಬಾಗಿಲಿಗೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯಲು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಡಾ. ಕೋರೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಹಾಂತೇಶ ಕೌಜಲಗಿಯವರು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು. ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಜಿ.ದೇಸಾಯಿ, ಆಜೀವ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಡಾ.ದೀಪಾ ಮೆಟಗುಡ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಆಜೀವ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ,ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆಗೈದ ಕೆಎಲ್ಇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಿವಿಧ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು, ವೈದ್ಯರನ್ನು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು, ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರನ್ನ ಗೌರವಿಸಿ ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 66 ಚಿನ್ನ, 49 ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಡಾ.ನೇಹಾ ದಡೇದ, ಡಾ.ಮಹೇಶ ಗುರನಗೌಡರ, ಡಾ.ಆದಿತ್ಯ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಡಾ.ದೀಪಾ ಮೆಡಗುಡ್ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು.

KLE Society’s 110th Foundation Day Celebration

The remarkable educational journey that transformed society is truly inspiring. Those who planted the seed of education have nurtured it into countless trees. It is because of their far-sighted vision that the institution has grown so immensely today. We must appreciate the tireless efforts of Dr. Kore behind this success, said Dr. M. R. Jayaram, Vice-Chancellor of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, while addressing the gathering as the chief guest at the 110th Foundation Day of the Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society, held at Dr. B. S. Jirge Auditorium, J. N. Medical College Campus, Belagavi.
He said, “The seven founding seers worked tirelessly day and night to meet the educational needs of society. The KLE Society stands tall today because of their sacrifice and vision. We cannot overlook the immense contribution of Dr. Prabhakar Kore, who has been leading this vast educational empire for over four decades.”
Addressing the students, Dr. Jayaram said, “The responsibility on your shoulders is enormous. People look to you for good leadership. I too expect that great leadership for the nation will emerge from you. For the future of India—advance in knowledge, work hand-in-hand with the government, look toward the future while remembering past achievements, and be ready to make great contributions. The most important thing is to think nobly. The founding seers thought of noble ideals and undertook immortal work.”
He praised KLE as “a legacy built on vision, commitment, and sacrifice.” He also appreciated Dr. Kore for leading the institution into a new era of growth and excellence. Dr. Jayaram stressed the need for partnership with the government, especially in the manufacturing sector, for national development. He called upon KLE to establish a STEM University focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to support this national mission.
Delivering his blessings, Swami Bodhamayananda Maharaj, President of Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, paid homage to the founding seers (Sapta Rishis). Emphasizing holistic education, he said, “Through knowledge, we can achieve wonders. Knowledge is the power that strengthens both society and the nation. I sincerely remember the seven seers who quenched the thirst for knowledge and brought about a literacy revolution in this region through KLE.”
He added, “Once we lose the soul, meaning, and spirit behind knowledge, life becomes meaningless. In today’s society, due to intense mental stress and the overwhelming influence of social media, some individuals are turning toward unhealthy paths. It is painful to see young people making grave mistakes out of misplaced pride and infatuation. On one hand, our scientists are reaching space, while on the other, the decline in values is causing distressing incidents in society. This is a time for all of us to reflect. We must shape our lives with strong moral values. Swami Vivekananda urged us to love our country and its culture deeply. We must cultivate such patriotism within ourselves permanently.” He also reflected on the purity of knowledge and its role in shaping the future.
In his welcome address, Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Chairman of KLE Society, paid heartfelt tribute to the visionary founders—the Sapta Rishis—as well as donors and contributors, stating that no amount of respect would be sufficient for their contribution. He said, “KLE stands firmly on the foundation of democracy. The institution has grown beyond barriers of language, religion, and caste. Through education, it has met every societal need and made unparalleled contributions in the fields of education, healthcare, and research—playing a vital role in nation-building.”
He highlighted that the first Agricultural College in North Karnataka, started in 2025, marks a major milestone. Dr. Kore also spoke about KLE’s healthcare initiatives, noting that KLE doctors provide world-class services globally. He announced that a new 1,000-bed hospital and medical college building will soon be inaugurated in Hubballi, bringing KLE’s total healthcare capacity to 4,500 beds. He also discussed plans to establish more hospitals in the region to deliver quality healthcare at people’s doorsteps.
Presiding over the event, Mahantesh Koujalgi, President of KLE Society, delivered the presidential address. On the dais were Dr. B. G. Desai, Secretary, and Dr. Deepa Metgud, Chairperson of the Lifetime Members Committee, along with other board members and life members.
During the event, students, doctors, teachers, and nursing staff from various KLE colleges who achieved excellence at the state, national, and international levels were honored and felicitated. A total of 66 gold medals and 49 silver medals were awarded. The program was compered by Dr. Neha Daded, Dr. Mahesh Guranagowdar, and Dr. Aditya Acharya, while Dr. Deepa Metgud delivered the vote of thanks.
