ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ವಿಸ್ತಾರಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಕೃತಕಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ (AI) ಅನ್ನು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ (ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ) ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಮೊಹ್ಸಿನ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಖಾಸಗಿ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಟು ಕೆರಿಯರ್ – ಫ್ಯೂಚರ್ ರೆಡಿ ಯೂನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿ ಆಫ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಸ್ ಶೃಂಗ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ನಡೆದ ಚರ್ಚಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಮೊಹ್ಸಿನ್, ಇದು ಯುವ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಎಐ ಬಳಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪ್ರೊಟೊಕಾಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯವಿಧಾನದ ಮಾನದಂಡ (ಎಸ್ಒಪಿ) ಕೂಡ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಚಿಂತನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲಿ ಎಥಿಕಲ್ ಯೂಸ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಐ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಗಮನವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮೊಹ್ಸಿನ್ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಭೀಮನಕುಪ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜೀವ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇನೋವೇಷನ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತಲಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಿಶೇಷ ಎಐ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ದೂರುಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಹಾನ್ಸ್ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಮೈಸೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಬುರಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಇರುವವರಿಗೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲು ನೆರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಚರ್ಚಾ ಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಉಪ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಡಾ. ಬಸವನಗೌಡಪ್ಪ, ದಯಾನಂದ ಸಾಗರ್ ಯೂನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿಯ ಡೀನ್ ಡಾ. ಪುಷ್ಪಾ ಸರ್ಕಾರ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರೆ ಗಣ್ಯರು, ತಜ್ಞರು, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.
Guidelines for the Use of AI in Medical Education to be Released
Bengaluru: Additional Chief Secretary (Medical Education) Mohammed Mohsin announced that guidelines will be released for the better and effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) — which has expanded considerably at the global level — within the Department of Medical Education.
Speaking at a discussion workshop held as part of the “Campus to Career – Future Ready University of Colleges” summit organized by the Department of Higher Education at a private hotel on Friday, Mohsin stated that this would be of great benefit to the youth. He also mentioned that a protocol and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the use of AI is being considered for release.
Mohsin elaborated that attention is also being given to the ethical use of AI in this regard.
An Innovation Centre is set to come up at the sprawling campus of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences at Bhimanakuppe on Mysuru Road. He also stated that decisions are being made regarding the special integration of AI across all colleges.
In recent times, a significant number of complaints regarding mental health have been coming in. In this regard, NIMHANS-model hospitals are being established in Mysuru and Kalaburagi, which will help provide treatment to those with mental health issues, Moshin said.
Among those present at the discussion meet were JSS Institution Vice Chancellor Dr. Basavanagoudappa, Dayananda Sagar University Dean Dr. Pushpa Sarkar, along with other dignitaries, experts, and officials.
