Pragativahini News, Belagavi : The Market police on Thursday arrested four youths for attacking one of their friends with a knife at Shivaji nagar on Wednesday night.
Police sources said Vishnu Chavan, Ajay Babu Kannukar, Sambhaji Shivaji Ghatage, Shivaji Ghatage attacked Aniket Madhumat with a knife in a quarrel late on Wednesday. The incident occurred on the premises of Women and Child Welfare department at Shivajinagar. Injured Aniket has been admitted at the district hospital.
Locals complain that the premises of the department turn the den of gamblers, drunker, ganja smokers after the office hours and on holidays. In-spite brought to the notice of the office no changes were seen. The attack on youth was the outcome of such an activity.
The arrested youths were in intoxicated state of ganja when they attacked Aniket, sources said.
