Life guards on Om beach in Gokarna on Monday saved the life of four tourists from Belagavi. A family from Belagavi had come to Gokarna for tour on Monday. some of the members of the family were reportedly stepped into the sea for the swimming.
A 14-year-old boy Husain caught into the whirlpool and drowned. Seeing this his family members Shahazd, 26, Abdulla 20, Bepari, 42, jumped into the sea. None of them had any expertise to swim in the sea and they too droned.
Life Guard staff members Pandurang Ambig and Pravasi Mitra Satish Naik who were on the spot noticed this and rushed to help the family members. They rescued all four persons by dragging them out of the water. The family has thanked Pandurang and Satish for saving their life.
