For the first time in history of Belagavi, 5 trees were successfully transplanted from Bauxite road to Peeranwadi Lake,an initiative by the PWD Department.
After the successful first drive now attempting to transplant another 12-15 trees in a single cavalcade of trucks loaded with trees on Sunday 19th May Morning 8 am from Bauxite Road Via Indal, KLE Hospital, Chennamma Circle, Bogarves, ROB, Goaves Circle to Peeranwadi.
This will be a Mega Awareness drive to “Save Trees “ of City in association with Forest Dept, HESCOM,City Corporation, Minor Irrigation, KUWS, Zilla Panchayat, Police Department of Belagavi.
Also most of the city based groups of Bikers, cyclists, JEEPERS, runners are joining the drive.
The Peeranwadi lake is an Initiative of JayBharat Foundation, Ashok Iron Works & Polyhydron,Vega, Belgaum Ferro Cast, Abhishek Alloys, Sneham International.
