The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, S. G. Balekundri Institute of Technology, Belagavi conducted a Technical Talk on Importance of Earthing in Electrical Safety.
K. S. Katagihallimath, Retd., Chief Engineer, KPTCL, Bengaluru was the resource person. He addressed the students on importance of earthing in Electrical System. He explained how we can protect ourselves from getting electric shock by proper earthing. He urged the students to understand the latest techniques to design the Earthmat in substation.
Principal Dr. Sidramappa V. Itti spoke on the importance of fundamentals in engineering.
S.G. Sambargimath, Chairman, SGBIT presided over the function. Prof. M. V. Ramana Murthy welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person. Head of the Department Dr. Satyendra Kumar and AETECH student coordinator Abhishek Dandavati were present.
