“File Disposal Week’ observed in State Revenue Department between 24th and 30th of June 2019 in order to dispose the pending files in the Department is successful” said Revenue Minister, R.V.Deshpande.
Speaking to the press while disposing the files on the last day of the File Disposal Week from his Office at Vidhana Soudha today, he said “All Officials from the Office of Revenue Minister to the Office of Village Accountant of Revenue Department have been instructed to work today i.e., Sunday, in order to facilitate disposal of pending files”.
Referring to a quote “Justice delayed is Justice denied”, he said “Disposal of files on priority will indeed help in providing justice to the general public. Priority is given to dispose of long pending files along with regular files. All the Heads of the Department, Regional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and concerned Officers instructed to maintain proper procedure and transparency while disposal of files during this initiative”, He explained.
It may be recalled that the Revenue Department had taken the similar initiative last year also by observing ‘File Disposal Week’ from 12.11.2018 to 18.11.2018 and during that period, more than 2.5 lakhs of files were disposed off. Taking the note of this success, the Department again decided to have this initiative, he quoted.
After completion of ‘File Disposal Week’, the details of opening balance on the starting day of ‘File Disposal Week’, files disposed during the week and pending at the end of the week are being consolidated and will be known in a couple of days, said the Minister.
