Two persons drowned in a lake at Hanchalli village in Siddapur taluk on Saturday. Victims have been identified as Chandan Hegde (14) of Hanchalli village and Venkatesh Gajanan Hegde (19) of Kabbe village in Siddapur taluk.
Chandan and Venkatesh had gone with two other friends to Tilakadagundi a lake in the outskirt of the Hanchalli village. Two other boys were sitting on the bank. The body of the drowned persons has been recovered. A case has been registered in Siddapur police station in this regard.
